- In 1972, I turned 10 years old and discovered adult music. I was introduced to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.The sounds were amazing.
The painting is of a face, representing the time period of the early 70’s and the impressions of music, fashion, and general life they gave me.
The tongue represents the Rolling Stone, I painted an eye inside the Round Eye, which is a tribute to John Lenon, who was wearing round glasses. Above the eye, you find the Eye Brow to the right, 1/3 in, I painted a strong masculine nose. A passionate heart in his throat, next to his lips visible in side profile. the Multi Colored Tips represents His hair. This painting is happy and Celebrats life in general, The groups fantastic music, which were often personal. Inspiration and representation of Yellow Submarine. Unity & peace. The yellow submarine is a symbol of unity and peace, and an escape from the mundane.
